Good News and Bad News

Caleb called me last night with some bad news. He didn't pass one of his tests yesterday, so he was headed home. It stinks. I know he's so bummed to have gotten that far, just to be sent home. He said he will probably be over it next week. The good news is that he will have another chance at the badge. They are doing it again in June, and this time it will be at Fort Hood. He will now know what to expect, and will have a better chance at it. I am still so proud of him...1) for being given the chance to try for it...and 2) for getting as far as he did!

Colton has been a night owl lately. Last night, he was so tired...rolling all around the living room couches and floor. So, I put him to bed at 7:00...and he was OUT! Well, he woke up at 7:30 so my mom tried to put him back to bed while I went to work out. Well, I came home at 10:00 and what do you know....Colton is sitting on the kitchen counter helping Aunt Nanners make Ramon Noodles! He was laughing, knowing he was a toot for still being awake. So, I got an orange and shared some with him. He, Aunt Nanners, and I were making funny faces at eachother! Then, he went back to bed...at 11:00! He's such a toot. I had to wake him up this morning, but he was happy as can be! I LOVE THAT KID!!!

Well, I am looking forward to this weekend with my hunny! I miss him like CRAZY! Hope everyone has a great day!

  1. I am sorry for Caleb, but at least he can try again! We will help him get over it this weekend! I can't wait to see you and the little toot named Colton! Can I see the "shew wee" when I am home? Love you and hope you can come up on Thursday!

  2. Who is in control? Yes, God has all things well in His care--including Caleb. Who knows but that this is a blessing in disguise! God works all things for good to those who love HIM and are called according to HIS purpose. Are you a called one? And do you love God? What is God's purpose but for us to pleasure God and give Him the glory. Let's praise Him for this because He can see the end from the beginning. He loves Caleb and created him with everything he needs to do what God has ordained. Take heart. All is well with the Lord.
Don't you just love looking at your little Colton sleep? He seems so angelic. God loves to look at you too. So relax.

  4. That's a bummer that Caleb didn't pass his test. That's ok though because when he does it again he will know what to expect and it won't even be a big deal.

Have a great Easter with your honey!
